Who? What? Why?
Who?
We're a group of IT professionals that was fed up with the current state of local/regional hosting companies. Nobody seemed to cater towards small to medium businesses. Everyone was treated the same no matter their budget. We've looked to change that thinking. Most small to medium sized businesses don't have IT knowledge, nor do they want to. Their focus should be on what they do best, not worrying about their RAID levels or firewall setup.
What?
Our facility was originally built by NASA (yes, the real NASA..) and was the largest non-military satellite facility in America. Since then, a few companies have owned it and kept investing in the infrastructure, lastly being Comcast. We have taken over this facility and updated it with the newest technologies. From networking, backup power and a unique approach to cooling and environmental techniques, our goal is to build a thriving true "Colorado" data center.
Our visitors constantly tell us that we would win an award for the most unique data center. Most are used to high polluting, concrete filled fortresses. Our unique terrain sets us apart from any other data center in the country and our solid infrastructure helps you sleep at night knowing your data is safe and secure. In the near future, we plan to implement many projects that will help us leverage our unique location along with advances in energy conservation to reduce our carbon footprint.
Why?
"Red Rocks Data Center will provide world class hosting facilities to small to medium sized businesses becoming their partnern enabling them to concentrate on what they do best: their business"
Our mantra here is "Create Globally, Host Locally" and we firmly believe that. Until now, small to medium businesses only had a few choices locally before risking their business to a facility they could never visit and people they would never meet. Scary huh?
Most of our current customers we're delighted to hear they have a local partner to help them grow their business and help them through the confusing hosting process. Other data center/hosting companies will take every opportunity to charge for overages, ding you for remote hands services and make you sign long term contracts. That isn't our style. The old adage "If you are successful, then we're successful" describes our philosophy of doing business. Instead of charging you for small things, we would rather help you grow and benefit from your success. The more business you do, the more likely you will increase your hosting needs.
