I purchased a dedicated server from these guys only to learn their customer service was poor, they capped their bandwidth (basic bandwidth), and lie.
Poor Customer Service:
When I inquired about the server, Nima (the sales person and Chief Financial Officer- some combo)told me they could have it up in 24 hours. This was a Friday afternoon. I told them there was no rush but the sooner the better.
During the 24 hour period I was informed by the tech (by the way who is also the Chief Technical Officer and the only other person in that company) Eric that my choice of operating system was inferior. I told him that was the way I ordered it and that was the way I wanted it. I assume he thought that a women would not know what was and was not a good operating system. Ok, back to the story. Once the server was installed I received an email from Eric, stating " Nima must really like you as we do not work on the weekend and most defiantly install servers". I wonder if this was the case why did Nima act like it was not a problem? Then, which I will discuss below, I discovered they lie when answering suppor tickets- btw they have no ticket system at all, you just email them and hope they get it.
CAPPING BANDWIDTH:
I pruchased their basic bandwith which is on Peer 1 Networks. Knowning the reputation of Peer 1, I expected fast transfer speeds and low latency; THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! The speeds were horrible, I never got passed 3Mbps and when I "submitted a ticket" they said it was due to muliple users, using the shared connection at once. Ok, so they are being cheap by having us all share a 100base TX, I can deal; however, the issue is there is at NO TIME I could download pass 3Mbps. Clearly, their connection is not saturated all the time; if it is then why do they advertise 100Mbps burst rates? I email Eric, opps I mean support, again and received a generic response from them.
LIERS!
They lied because of:
- When I asked if it was capped they said no - They advertise 100Mbps, but it is not - They say 24/7 tech support - but not true. Is Eric up 24/7 a day.
My suggestions is to stay far far far far far away from these guys.
