ShoreTel Expands Board With Addition of Industry Leaders

Industry Veterans Bring Wealth of Enterprise Management Expertise

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 22 -- ShoreTel(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:SHOR) , a leading provider of enterprise IP telephony solutions, today announced that Mark Bregman and Ken Denman have joined ShoreTel's board of directors as its newest members. Bregman serves as the executive vice president and chief technology officer of security technology leader Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ:SYMC) . There he is responsible for Symantec Research Labs, emerging technologies, architectures, standards and developing the technology strategy of the company. Ken Denman serves as chairman and CEO of iPass (NASDAQ:IPAS) where he drives next-generation strategies for platform-based enterprise mobility services. Both bring significant management expertise and experience growing companies into market leaders.

Bregman's tenure includes leadership positions from which he guides Symantec's advanced research, international development centers and technical sales teams. Bregman joined Symantec through the company's merger with VERITAS Software. At VERITAS, Bregman served as chief technology officer and was responsible for cross-product integration, advanced product development, merger and acquisition strategy and engineering development centers around the world. He also served as the VERITAS executive vice president in charge of product operations since joining the company in 2002. Bregman holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from Harvard College and a master's degree and doctorate in Physics from Columbia University. He is a member of the Visiting Committee to the Harvard University Libraries, a member of the American Physical Society, and a senior member of IEEE.

Denman's career spans more than 20 years in the global telecommunications and IT industries. Under his leadership, iPass has tripled its revenues, completed an initial public offering, and evolved from a single product company into a provider of platform-based, software-enabled services. Before joining iPass, Denman was founder, president and CEO of AuraServ Communications, a venture-backed managed/hosted broadband services provider. Previously, Denman served as senior vice president of Media One's National Markets Group and chief operating officer -- Wireless of Media One International in London. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington, where he now serves on the Michael G. Foster School of Business Advisory Board, and a B.S. in Accounting from Central Washington University.
