Over 50 Exhibitors Announce Latest Products and News at TechWeb's Interop Las Vegas and Software 2008

SAN FRANCISCO, April 21 -- Interop and Software 2008, produced by TechWeb (formerly CMP), today announced 50 announcements being made at the collocated events in Las Vegas coming up April 27-May 2 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Interop, North America's largest business technology event, provides a valuable venue for IT business leaders to showcase their new products and services to their key audiences. Additionally, Software 2008 gathers the entire enterprise software ecosystem to share strategies and best practices for doing business and provides an ideal platform for software industry leaders to introduce their next-generation software.

The list of Interop Las Vegas 2008 and Software 2008 exhibitors making news announcements or showcasing new products will continue to grow throughout the event, and currently includes the following:

ADC will feature its TrueNet(R) Structured Cabling System for enterprises. TrueNet, a highly reliable, end-to-end system, is designed to meet the unique network infrastructure needs of modern data centers.

Adder Corporation will announce the AdderView CATx 1000, a compact, multi-platform KVM switch, with the power of an enterprise grade CATx switch in a desktop form factor. Users can control up to 16 computers via CAT 5 cable locally or remotely up to 1,000 feet away with unsurpassed port capacity.

AdRem will introduce the new NetCrunch 5, a fast, affordable, and easy to deploy network monitoring solution for small and middle sized businesses. With NetCrunch 5, administrators can monitor all their systems, devices and network services from a single interface.

ADTRAN is expanding its line of IP Telephony products with NetVanta 7060 IP PBX with integral voicemail, auto attendant and 24 port PoE switch and the ADTRAN IP 706/ IP 712 IP phones that are SIP based, offer large, backlit displays; and are priced for the SMB and converged VoIP markets.

Agito Networks will announce new, innovative business-class enterprise fixed mobile convergence (eFMC) functionality in the latest version of its RoamAnywhere Mobility Router. Agito's first-in-the-industry functionality for eFMC includes a stateful high-availability architecture, native integration with Cisco's Unified Wireless solution, and identity-based mobility with enhanced native integration with Active Directory and LDAP.

The Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6855 is a hardened, fully managed Gigabit Ethernet LAN switch, specifically built for IP network deployments where environmental operating conditions exceed and are more demanding than normal. New security features, MEF industry certification, and industry validated energy efficient power consumption illustrates Alcatel-Lucent's continued innovation in LAN switching.

AlterPoint will announce NetworkAuthority Lifecycle, an advanced network management and analytics solution that enables users to make better business decisions about network asset aging, maintenance contracts, capacity management and standardization initiatives.

Apposite Technologies will announce v4.0 of the Linktropy WAN Emulator. The Linktropy WAN emulator simulates the characteristics of WAN links to test the performance of applications. Version 4.0 adds network condition recorder and player functionality to reproduce the actual conditions of a production network in a repeatable test environment.

Arastra will introduce the Arastra 7148S, a new addition to the Arastra 7100 Series of Datacenter Ethernet switches, a 1 RU, L2/L3, 48-port 10GbE SFP+ switch optimized for rack-top server aggregation. With 800 Gbps of aggregate bandwidth, the Arastra 7148S complements the previously announced Arastra 7124S and Arastra 7148SX.

Aruba will prominently feature 802.11n at their booth, and the company will be announcing new 802.11n product extensions. Aruba will introduce enhancements to its green teleworker remote access and VPN-replacement product family, innovative new wireless intrusion prevention and classification technology, and the new multi-vendor AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6.

Astaro is launching the Astaro Web Gateway, an all-in-one product to secure and control web access. This solution includes URL filtering, malicious code detection, application controls and bandwidth optimization, allowing companies to completely secure their web traffic with a single, cost-effective and easy-to-use appliance

ATEN Technology, an innovator of high-quality KVM (keyboard/video/mouse) and remote connectivity products, will introduce the KE8220 Virtual VNC Console, CN8000 KVM on the NET(TM), KM2508 and KM2516 CAT5 Matrix KVM switches, as well as a new line of 2-and 4-port cable and desktop KVMs with the industry's first seven-year warranty.

Avocent's new power manager enables IT to proactively monitor and measure real-time energy consumption and power costs. A software add-on to Avocent's DSView(R) 3 management software platform, it provides detailed power and environmental information -- giving visibility into costs and trends to reduce energy consumption and simplify capacity planning.

Azaleos will announce ViewPoint and ManagePoint -- the first remote management services for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS). These services offload 90 percent of the tasks associated with MOSS monitoring and management. With Azaleos, organizations can deploy SharePoint without increasing IT staff, or they can re-assign SharePoint personnel to more strategic projects.

BLADE Network Technologies, the industry leader in network virtualization for servers and storage, will introduce its new Rackswitch Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches. BLADE's "virtual, cooler and easier" switches overcome network overload through "Rackonomics" -- revolutionary approach for scaling out data center networks to drive down total cost of ownership.

Bluesocket will introduce a new Access Point and new software release for its BlueSecure(TM) WLAN product family. These offerings are 802.11n-capable and fully support Bluesocket's next-generation virtual WLAN architecture designed for enhanced integrated enterprise mobility.

Citrix will debut new NetScaler MPX application delivery appliances that enable the next-generation of dynamic data centers with record performance and scalability. Only NetScaler MPX provides the critical mix of app delivery and infrastructure virtualization services needed to maximize the flexibility and modularity of congested enterprise and Internet data centers.

Concentsus will showcase its high performance online backup service. Concentsus online backup makes data protection simple -- enabling users to automatically backup their PCs, laptops and servers to a secure, remote location. Concentsus delivers total data security with access to encrypted data from any computer with an internet connection.

Coyote Point Systems will unveil its new cost-effective, all-in-one Equalizer Series E650si load balancing appliance with 21 Gigabit ports, built-in SSL acceleration, HTTP compression and global server load balancing. In addition, Coyote Point will introduce its new Equalizer VLB(TM) Beta software for enhanced load balancing of VMware virtual server infrastructures.

Crescendo Networks will introduce its new CN 7000 platform, the industry's first Multi-Tier Application Delivery Controller (MT-ADC). The 7000 is the first acceleration solution designed to deliver complete end-to-end application acceleration for multi-tier and multi-application environments. The Product intelligently learns, reports on, and eliminates multi-tier application bottlenecks.

Digipower will introduce its new Amazing PDU line of intelligent PDU's. The Amazing PDU's unique single layer structure eliminates the need for internal serial communication and therefore uses less bandwidth, has a faster response time, and is less expensive to manufacture. The Amazing PDU series includes basic, metered, monitored and switched PDU's.

Electrorack is featuring a water-cooled high-density enclosure cooling solution with capacities of 20-25kW per rack! The pre-configured solution utilizes a rear door, water-cooled heat exchanger, which prevents heat from mixing back into the facility, keeping consistent inlet air temperatures at the equipment face.

Faronics Corporation will announce the release of Power Save 2.0. New features of Faronics' non-disruptive desktop energy management software include Windows Vista support and a revamped power consumption savings reporting system. Power Save 2.0 is also the first Faronics product to offer enterprise control via the newly-released Faronics Core Console.

Gateworks will introduce the GW2353 wireless video network processor board targeted for security, surveillance and vehicle applications. The board supports multiple radios, including 802.11n/WiMax and can perform video and audio encoding/decoding in various formats such as MJPEG and H.264. Additional peripherals include GPS, automotive power supply and extended temperature operation.

Microsemi will launch full production of its new line of PowerDsine(R) high power Gigabit midspans and splitters that upgrade existing network infrastructures for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications.

Namescape will demonstrate its new "rDirectory 2.3," extending Active Directory's value as an Identity Application Builder. New features include improved integration with SharePoint, email notification, cascading picklists, solution templates and optional schema extensions for building relational identity applications. This product is already used successfully by more than 500 companies worldwide.

DocuSign will announce a new version of the industry's leading enterprise-class Software-as-a Service eSignature solution. The Ethernet Alliance and 25 of its members will demonstrate a selection of existing and emerging IEEE 802(TM) Ethernet technologies in booth #1567.
