34th International CMG'08 Conference Secures Sunday Workshop Sessions
Attendees Benefit from In-Depth Knowledge of Critical Performance and Capacity Management Topics
TURNERSVILLE, N.J., Sept. 15 -- The Computer Measurement Group (CMG), the IT professionals responsible for planning, measuring and managing the world's largest IT infrastructures, announced today that it has finalized its set of Sunday workshop sessions for the 34th International Computer Measurement Group annual conference (CMG'08) taking place from December 7-12 in Las Vegas, NV at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.
CMG'08 starts on Sunday, December 7 with an entire day dedicated to focused, three hour seminars that deepen the CMG'08 experience. Sunday workshops provide additional insights into the areas of performance management for Multi-Tier applications, Websphere MQ, Java, .NET, SQL Server and Storage Area Networks. Other workshops address techniques such as capacity management using free and bundled software as well as performance issues relating to Service-Oriented and Enterprise Service Bus architectures and patterns. Two workshops will provide essential information regarding ITIL. The workshop presenters are luminaries in their fields who, in some cases, did seminal work in their area of expertise. They will guide the workshop attendees by drawing on their extensive experiences and knowledge. Attendees will have access to their information and thoughts both during the workshop and throughout the remainder of the conference.
"We are so excited to offer you these Sunday Workshop sessions," said Jaqui Lynch, CMG'08 general chair and chief of staff. "These workshops are focused on current techniques and issues that need time for careful examination. There is something here for everyone. In fact, attendees' biggest problem may be choosing among all the great offerings. Whatever they end up choosing, there will certainly be something they can use."
The Sunday Workshops are organized as two sets of half-day sessions. This year CMG will run seven concurrent sessions, both morning and afternoon, providing an unprecedented variety of presenters and topics. Each Sunday attendee gets a copy of the Sunday Workshop Book, a collection of the class materials for all sessions that are held on Workshop Sunday.
