nworks Smart Plug-in™ SPI for VMware at HP Software Universe
today. Version 5.5, made generally available on May 26, takes the
integration of VMware management in HP Operations Manager to a new level.

“The Veeam nworks SPI provides distributed monitoring and management of
the VMware infrastructure fully integrated into Operations Manager, and
version 5.5 provides even better support for mission-critical VMware
environments,” explained Ratmir Timashev, Veeam President and CEO. “The
enhancements begin with optimized user-configurable data publication
methods, resulting in more than twice the scalability and performance.
In addition, the new release provides improved high availability and
load balancing. It also has a new deployment toolkit that includes an
online calculator for pre-deployment planning, as well as a built-in
wizard for ongoing analysis.”
HP has certified the Veeam nworks SPI for Operations Manager 8 for
Windows and Operations Manager 9 for Unix. In fact, Veeam was one of the
first independent software vendors to have a SPI certified on Operations
Manager 9 for Unix. “The nworks organization that is now part of Veeam
