IRVINE, Calif.--BUSINESS WIRE--McAfee, the leading provider of secure enterprise solutions has
certified the SecureAuth SSO solution for its Security Innovation
Alliance™ partner program. The SecureAuth Identity Enforcement Platform
IEP, with its combined Single Sign-on SSO and authentication
functionality, complements McAfee®
Endpoint Encryption with a comprehensive identity enforcement
platform. The integration enables customers to combine two-factor SSO
application access with data encryption and centralized data protection.
“Enterprises struggle with creating a common authentication experience
across their disparate SaaS, Web, cloud, and VPN resources. This is
mainly the result of prior-generation authentication solutions that,
until now, were unable to abstract themselves from the underlying
application”
McAfee Endpoint Encryption offers powerful encryption and strong access
control features that help users prevent unauthorized access to
sensitive data, data loss and data exposure. The combination of
SecureAuth SSO and McAfee Endpoint Encryption keeps authentication
credentials secure, while also freeing users of the need to maintain
separate application passwords. The joint integration provides a unified
security chain, from boot-level log-on through to application access.
Designed to install into an enterprise’s existing infrastructure,
SecureAuth IEP provides users with transparent access to all of their
local, cloud-based, and SaaS applications – all from their current
desktop log-ons. Using SecureAuth IEP the enterprise can instantly
leverage SAML and/or other security protocols for secure cloud
deployments. The solution streamlines workflows for both end users – who
have simplified log-on procedures – and the enterprise, which is able to
simplify the management and administration of end-user credentials.
“Enterprises struggle with creating a common authentication experience
across their disparate SaaS, Web, cloud, and VPN resources. This is
mainly the result of prior-generation authentication solutions that,
until now, were unable to abstract themselves from the underlying
application,” said Garret Grajek, CTO of SecureAuth. “In contrast,
SecureAuth serves as a stand-alone authentication solution that
integrates with existing directory services to deliver end-to-end SSO
for on-premise, SaaS, and web applications without APIs or extensive
coding. Combined with McAfee Endpoint Encryption, enterprises are able
to protect identities as stringently as they protect sensitive data.”
McAfee Endpoint Encryption leverages the McAfee® ePolicy Orchestrator®
platform infrastructure for automated security reporting, monitoring,
deployment, and policy Administration. With more than 35,000
customers and managing more than 60 million PCs and servers, this unique
platform is helping McAfee SIA partners to extend their reach and create
complementary functionality.
“We are delighted to have tested this joint solution with SecureAuth,”
said Ed Barry, senior director of the Security Innovation Alliance,
McAfee. “Multiple logins increase security risk and reduce end-user
productivity. Through this integration, the problems of multiple
passwords, user IDs, password modifications, and expired log-on accounts
are significantly mitigated.”
