HOUSTON----Westlin Corporation Pink Sheets:WSTN announced today it is teaming
with Suddenlink Communications to provide secure connections and data
storage capabilities for Westlin and Suddenlink business customers
before, during and after hurricanes or other natural disasters.
Westlin said that direct connections to the Suddenlink business fiber
network are now available at the Westlin Bunker Data Center at a secure
location in Texas. This new peering connection allows clients to
provision native Ethernet connections directly from their offices to
their backup servers in the Bunker.
Suddenlink connections to Westlin’s Bunker
Data Center now are available for business customers in the following
cities:
Texas: Conroe, Lake Conroe, Bryan/College Station, Victoria, Huntsville,
Tyler, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander
Louisiana: Lake Charles, Alexandria, Bossier City, Ruston, Leesville
“The addition of the Suddenlink’s
secure connections is a huge step forward for us,”
said David Herr, President of Westlin. “Suddenlink’s
business network covers a large amount of the area hit by Hurricanes
Katrina and Rita in 2005. Clients in those areas have had very limited
options for cost-effective connections to our secure data center.
Predictions for the 2007 hurricane season are prompting many businesses
in this area to deploy effective continuity plans, and the combination
of Suddenlink’s network and the Bunker Data
Center provide that before the season gets in full swing.”
Businesses interested in learning more about getting these secure
connections can contact Westlin at 936-582-5946 or Suddenlink Business
Services at 888-261-0110.
