CAMBRIDGE, Mass.----Sapient NASDAQ: SAPE today announced that Enbridge Gas Distribution, a
fully-owned subsidiary of Enbridge Inc. Enbridge NYSE: ENB, has
selected it to implement a new, large-scale SAP Customer Information
System CIS that will replace Enbridge’s
current legacy CIS installation. Under the terms of the $70 million CAD,
five-year agreement, Sapient will partner with Siemens IT Solutions and
Services Inc. Canada and SAP Canada Inc., the Canadian subsidiary of
SAP AG, to deliver an SAP®
for Utilities IS-U implementation and application management services.
One of North America’s fastest growing
utilities, Enbridge Gas Distribution, is Canada’s
largest gas distribution company, serving 1.8 million customers in
Ontario. Enbridge also owns gas distribution utilities in Quebec, New
Brunswick and upstate New York. Enbridge’s
continued expansion makes it critical that customers both new and old
receive Enbridge’s highly acclaimed customer
service.
